Jan Cohen, wife of Larry Cohen, the NSNC president who died Aug. 27, 2012, at age 64, wants to share photos from a celebration of Larry held Sept. 28 at his old paper, the Hartford Courant.

“We had about 100 attending, with 14 speakers telling funny Larry stories, a slide show of Larry photos, and of course food,” Jan writes.

Among those attending were 2013 Conference Chair Vince Valvo and his wife, Linda Valvo, Courant Editorial Page Editor Carolyn Lumsden and former Courant columnist Colin McEnroe, who now hosts a talk show on Connecticut station WNPR. All attending received a two-page photo remembrance album that Jan created.

So far, the NSNC Education Foundation has received more than $1,600 in Larry’s memory. Information about the foundation — including details about making your contribution — are at columnists.com/nsnc-education-foundation.
