Dear Abby,

Thanks for letting your millions of readers know in today’s column that you’ve generously agreed to sponsor The Dear Abby College Scholarship Program and Contest. And thanks for noting the program is administered by the National Society of Education Columnists Education Foundation, an organization whose president happens to be, uh, me.

Details on the scholarship including the online application are on her Dear Abby Scholarship page.

Abby’s Dear Readers note mentions a Q-and-A interview about her views on student columnists.
